June Favourites

I am in love with this season, it is just my favourite time of the year. The sun is shinning, the skin gets darker, the hair gets lighter.   Pure happiness is to sit somewhere watching the sunset and the sea. During this time of the year I don’t use a lot of makeup, but I definitely try to stick to a good skincare and hair routine. I tried a couple of new products and I really loved those ones:

Face Wash

I bought those two products – L`oreal Skin Expert Pure Clay Illuminating  Cleansing Gel and Garnier Fresh Clarifying Wash with Green Tea. I was really excited to try the first one because I have been using the clay face mask from the same brand. I love both of those face washes and I use them everyday. If you want to read more about them let me know in the comment section down below.

Take Care of Your Hair

I got the chance to try out Moroccan Oil Extra Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, and I really like them. They make my hair very soft, smooth and light. I like the smell and the texture isn’t oily or heavy. I want to repurchase the real size products.

Cute Nails

I got a couple of new nail polishes since now I decided to take a small break from the gel-nail polishes. I really like those coral/ watermelon colours.

Bronzing powder

A must-have in my summer makeup bag! This one is from Essence –  Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder. It is in shade 02 Sunny.

Life Update – The Greek Chapter

image

Hey lovelies!

I know it has been awhile since my last post again.. But let me give you a small life update for the last month – month and a half..
So as you know if you read one of my latest posts, I have been in Malta .. Thinking to stay for good..
Well, it took me only one week to pack my bags again (actually I never had them unpacked) and to buy a ticket to .. Greece. If you follow me on Instagram you know it already.

I haven’t got the chance to blog a lot and I didn’t really feel like to post.. I tried a couple of new products and I wasn’t super excited about them or I didn’t like them. And I really have been thinking on how my blogging is going and what I need to change.

So since I moved to Greece a lot of things have changed for me. A part from the fact I am still having some difficulties to find a proper job, I am very happy for everything else. Everything is so calm, relaxed and easy going here, so I really feel like the time is flying really fast. I spent my first couple of weeks just wandering around, sunbathing and enjoying the beauty of Naxos. Now I am preparing  for the presentation of my final thesis, so basically I am done with university.. at least for now 🙂 And I will try to keep you updated with what is going  on and I will try to get back to posting a couple of times every week.

If you want to read something or you have any suggestions let me know in the comment section down below or on my social media ❤️

May Favourites

Hey beauties,

it is officially June.. I know, I can’t believe this either! Where did the first half of the year go? Anyway, since I have been on the way and crazy busy last month, I didn’t have the chance to blog more but I did get my hands on a couple of good stuff, so I decided to share with you.

Here are my favourites for May:

Golden Tears from Mastic SPA – here; Argan Crystal Oil Bio Pharma – here; Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream – here; Schwarzkopf Got2B Straightening Hair Spray – here; Sleek Make Up – Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream – here; Jonhson`s Face Care Wipes – here; Book Sometimes I Lie – here.

Grazia Bulgaria & Golden Tears from Mastic SPA

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle2

When I was back at home I got the new Grazia Bulgaria which came with a little Eye Cream – Golden Tears from Mastic SPA. I have read a lot of different reviews saying that this one isn’t the original product. Anyway I use it for the last two – three weeks, and I am pretty happy with it, so it is one of my favourites for May.

Hair Crystal Oil – Bio Pharma

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle3

The new – old favourite Argan Oil. I have used this product before and I really like it. I put it on my hair after shower and it makes it easy to comb and to manage, and of course last but not least it smells amazing.

Sleek Make Up Matte Me

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle4

This is my super extra favourite product for the last month. I have seen this all over Instagram and I was curious to try it out. I got Sleek Make Up Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream during my stay in Malta. The shade I chose is Bitter Sweet but I would love to try all of them as well as the eyeshadow palettes.

Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle5

Liz Earle is a British cosmetics brand, they have a huge range of body, hair and make up products. Good quality and the packaging is nice. This body lotion hydrates and soothes the skin, it also smells very good.

Schwarzkopf Got2B Straightening Spray

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle6

I got this hair spray by Schwarzkopf a long time ago but I started using it a little bit more often lately. It is for heat protection and it helps you to keep your hair straight for a little bit longer. I really like it because it makes my hair thicker and it looks stronger.

Book Sometimes I lie – Alice Feeney

may_favourites_xoxogabrielle7

I got this book Sometimes I Lie from the airport in Malta. I really like it so far and I am still reading it. It tells the story of a woman who is in a coma. To be honest it got me because of the cover and the tittle 🙂 Well.. I guess we all lie sometimes…

P.S:  Have you tried some of those products? Share with me your current favourites, I would love to try them out!

Life Lately or from Boring to too Crazy in 0.1 seconds

xoxogabrielle

Sometimes you find yourself stuck.. trapped …  in emotions… in overthinking… in one place – literally. And you either go with the flow or you change the destination on 180 degrees. Everything depends on you, both choices are hard to make and none of them is the last one.

I found myself in this situation and for a very first time in my life it took me so long to decide on my next step. So long I rushed through my last decision and… here am I again, kind of new -kind of the same old.

After my italian days were over, I spent a couple of months back at home in Bulgaria. It was a nice time, I really enjoyed some family time and catching up with some of my friends. I got to spent time with my sister which was something we didn’t have the chance to do in the last years.  Also I am looking forward to graduate in July! Yay, finally 🙂

I decided to keep listening to  the voice of my wanderlust devil and my inner adventurist so I packed my bags and I arrived in Malta two days ago. And don’t get me wrong it is just a gorgeous gorgeous place! Like I already shared in one of my previous posts, I just love it…

But there is always something to pop up very last minute and keep your mind going… questioning your decisions and plans. So lets see what is going to be next 🙂

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

Finally we got Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation in Bulgaria! Hooray! First time I have tried it was when I was in the USA and I really loved it because it was light texture, good coverage and affordable price. So when I saw it here in Bulgaria and after reading tones of good reviews, I decided to give a try again.

maybelline_fitme_xoxogabrielle

This  Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation is  perfect  for oily skin with imperfections, it mattifies the face and reduces the appearance of larger skin pores.

Maybelline:

Fit Me® Matte + Poreless Foundation face makeup. Mattifies and refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish. Ideal for normal to oily skin, our exclusive formula with micro-powders controls shine and blurs pores. Leaves a natural, seamless finish. Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Non-comedogenic.

Packaging

In Bulgaria the foundation comes into a tube with black and blue details. It is easy to use and definitely preferable rather than the glass container without a pump. The second one looks of course much better but it is more difficult to use and to carry around.

maybelline_fitme_xoxogabrielle2

Texture

The texture of Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation is very light, creamy and it applies and blends really easy. It is creamier than the first time when I tried it, I guess because it is designed for oily skin. There is a little amount of fragrance but it doesn’t bother me, I think it is almost difficult to sense it.

Shades

As I saw on the official website of Maybelline, Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation come in 24 different shades, from very light skin tones to dark skin tones, as well with different undertones – more pinkish and more yellowish. In Bulgaria the range is a little bit less. I picked up 110 “Porcelain” because I am very pale right now.  I think it matches my skin tone just perfect.

maybelline_fitme_xoxogabrielle3

Coverage & my opinion

It applies easy, sits good on the skin and it is not too heavy. The coverage is light to medium, so I still use concealer to cover darker spots, especially under my eyes. It covers red spots and some little imperfections. The thing I don’t like is how it  shows the dry spots on my face. For a matte foundation is quite good, after a couple of hours my T-zone gets a little bit shinny so it needs a touch up but overall it stays on my face for a long time. I think it will be perfect for summer hot days when my skin usually gets more oily and shinny.

I recommend trying it because it is a good quality, one of the best foundations I have ever tried. The texture is nice and the coverage is not bad.  Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation is a great choice for oily skin. And of course last but not least it is very affordable.

P.S: Have you tried Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation? Which is your favourite drug store foundation?
