5 Reasons to Volunteer

If you are reading this you have to volunteer at least once, no matter of the cause and the place, just try! Choose a cause which is similar to your personal interests and equal to your own beliefs, try to find something which you feel close to, something which is going to be your personal cause. I believe everyone can find it and once you do just find a way to include yourself. Out there are so many different association and organisations trying to express their beliefs and to help someone with something.

  1. You can learn a lot
While you are helping other people you will learn so many things first about yourself, I promise you, you will be surprised! Of course you will learn a lot of other people involved too, and not only personal information, but also how to communicate, behave and why not got some inspiration! Usually volunteering has the magic of bringing together very different people which under another circumstances will not have a dialog, so that must be the perfect opportunity to meet a person to look up to. Some projects will involve people from different cultures, countries, regions, what better way to learn something more about a new culture, country, traditions or lifestyle, than to ask the locals. And depending on the cause you will have a chance to understand and learn so many other new things – new ways of teaching, law, cooking, planting flowers or whatever comes to your mind. That is one of the most amazing and exciting things about volunteering!image
  2. You gain experience
When you choose a specific cause you can “try out” different jobs for a while so it will definitely help you realise if it is what you would like to do or not, or at least it will give you some clues what kind of job you have to look for. For instance is you like to be around kids and you are patient, creative and responsible, you can find a job like babysitter or teacher. Also you can put the experience and your participation in your CV, so it can be an advantage for you when potential employes are looking into a thousands of CVs.
  3. Personal development
I think I must write a separate article only about this one 🙂 Personal development in every aspect – social, emotional, intellectual. Ok just think about it, you will for sure need to learn: how to listen and care (empathy),  how to communicate with different people (age, sex, nationality, social status and etc.), how to express yourself (through not only talking but also arts, dance, body language). Sometimes you will push yourself over your limits, and other times you will try hard to keep your balance, but that will help you grow.image
  4. You can meet a lot of new people
And I mean A LOT.. Volunteering is the perfect way for you to make new friends, to get inspired and find people who are willing to help you grow – your mentors, or just super interesting people from who you will learn so many new things.
  5. You will make a difference for someone else
Volunteering will make you realise that  it feels good to do things and to expect nothing in return. Sometimes even if you think you are doing something small, for the other person it can mean the world, and that is the beauty of this story 🙂 And when you see a kid`s smile and shinny eyes looking at you or you feel the warm hug of a stranger, you will realise you got much more in return than you were expecting!

P.S: So if you are a volunteer, keep doing good! If you are not, what are you waiting for?! Go make someone happy today! If you have more questions I will be very happy to answer 🙂

Crest 3D White Strips Luxe Review

Here is one of my favourite products – Crest 3D White Strips Luxe! I used it one year ago for a very first time and it was just amazing. I had my teeth whitened by my dentist and as you know it can be quite expensive. And the results are as good as the results I got by using 3D Crest White Strips. Using Crest 3D White Strips of course is way cheaper than the whitening procedure done by a dentist.

image

3D Crest White Strips is a home whitening system and it is very easy to apply. You can choose by Crest 3D White products depending on your personal preferences and needs. The process of applying and using the whitening strips is the same with all of them. The wear time is from  5 minutes to 1 hour depending on the type you choose.

I chose Crest 3D White Strips LUXE. They came in a pretty purple-silver box which contains strips for 20 treatments. Strips for one treatment are packed together – one for lower and one for upper teeth. The bigger strip goes up and the smaller one down.

crest-3

Before applying the strips I wash my teeth and I wait like 20 minutes. The strips are super easy to apply, you gotta just stick them to the front part of your teeth and thats all. Then you have to wait for 30 minutes. After the time is up I wash and floss so I am sure there is nothing left.

crest-2 crest-1

During the treatment there wasn`t any pain or discomfort, just the first time it was a little bit strange at feeling but nothing bad. First I saw results after the third treatment and the final results of course after 20 days.

The whitening is very gentle I didn’t have any problems during or after it. In the 20-day treatment period I was avoiding food and drinks which can colour my teeth because while you are doing the whitening your teeth are a little bit more sensitive-colour-picking.

I don’t have more than one coffee per day and I also don’t drink red wine and don’t smoke, the whitening effect lasted maybe around 3 months. I can say for sure it depends on what you eat or drink and the original colour of your teeth.

In conclusion I can say this product is definitely amazing and one of my all time favourites! For sure my go-to when it comes to teeth whitening. So I recommend you to try it out and share with me your opinion!

You can find all Crest products here: Crest Online

P.S: If you have tried Crest products or you have another favourite ones, share with me in the comment section down below!

One Day in San Marino

I am sharing with you my day trip to San Marino!

image

San Marino is the third smallest country in Europe and fifth in the world.  San Marino is the oldest sovereign state and constitution republic in the world. It is located in region Emilia Romagna, so it is surrounded by Italy, 10km away from the Adriatic sea.

How to get to San Marino?

The easiest way to reach San Marino is by bus from Rimini. One-way ticket is 5 euro, return ticket is around 9 euros. The bus leaves from Rimini Train Station. You can buy a ticket from the bus driver.

What to see?

The Republic of San Marino is a couple of small towns situated around a mountain top. The touristic part is the capital called San Marino which is on the mountain top. The capital is surrounded by a stone wall and it is pretty small, there are a couple of small narrow streets with a lot of shops and restaurants.

Walking

You have to prepare yourself for some walking till you get to the highest point! But it will be worth it I promise 😉

The Three Towers of San Marino

Basilica di San Marino:

The view:

What I enjoyed the most?

Definitely I am gonna say the view you have from almost every point! If the weather is nice and it is not cloudy or muddy you can see all the surrounding cities and even The Adriatic Sea. It is very beautiful. When you get out of the shopping streets and you start walking to the highest point you will go through some narrow paths, forest around you, clean super fresh air, which was the part I liked better than the crowded streets.

Processed with Snapseed.

Shopping

Main reason to visit San Marino for over 2 million tourists every year are the duty-free shops. In the narrow streets of San Marino you can find nice interesting unique souvenirs, typical italian food and drinks, a lot of brand shops – Furla, Michel Kors and etc. There are a lot of shops where you can find beautiful jewellers, watches and perfumes.

What you need to know more?

The Official language is Italian. But considering the amount of tourists visiting San Marino, English is ok too.

Currency – Euro

Food – Italian food

P.S: I hope you got inspired and you are already planning your trip to San Marino!

Aussie Miracle Review

Each one of us is facing different issues with her hair. Either you have a thin hair with no-volume, or your hair is damaged and coloured, I am sure you have tried a thousands of products and you are still trying to find the best one for you. Out there are so many different brands and types of hair products. During my hair journey I tried quite a lot of them too – some were good, others weren’t. Today I decided to review 2 hair products  of the super famous Australian brand Aussie. Both of them I find pretty amazing! And they are currently part of my hair routine.

There is more life than hair but it is a good place to start

The Aussie Philosophy

image

So here they are:

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment

image

First of course I use a shampoo and then it is turn to Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment like a conditioner – 3 minute repairing therapy. I leave it on my hair for a couple of minutes, and then of course rinse it. And let me be honest, at first I was very sceptical about it and my first impression wasn’t so good. But after the second time I use it I really liked it and now I can say  it is actually very good. The texture is nice, not heavy and the colour and the smell are like a bubble gum (pink and sweet).

It contains Australian Jojoba Seed Oil and Aloe Vera which will smooth and control frizz, as in the same time will replenish moisture and will leave your hair luscious and shiny.

Ingredients:

image

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment makes my hair more textured and I feel like it is in better conditions,  much stronger than before. I choose the Frizz Remedy because my hair is very soft, thin and it is very frizzy. Definitely super happy with it! I want to try as well some of the others 3 Minute Miracle Treatments especially the damaged hair treatment!

Aussie 3 Miracle Oil

image

After I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet before I try to maintain it I use Aussie 3 Miracle Oil. And let me tell you it is a REAL MIRACLE! You can also use it before shampooing kinda like a mask, or on dry hair just to make it shinier.

The texture is not greasy and it doesn’t make your hair heavy and oily. It contains Australian Macadamia Nut Oil, Jojoba-seed Oil and Avocado Oil. Smells like a candy.

Ingredients:

image

It leaves my hair smoother and shiner. Either you style your hair or you let it air dry ( Aussie believes in the air-dry-hair) it will have the smooth and silky finish.

Aussie  products are all very affordable but not so easy to get your hands on…at least in Europe. I found mine during my trip to Czech Republic, but for instance in Bulgaria, Aussie  products are difficult to find.

But you can always find them onlinehttp://aussiehair.com/en-gb . If you are trying to find your hair`s  best match, you can take a look at the website and you can choose by a huge range of products. Aussie have different collections which are suitable for different hair types. Aussie website will help you find the closest store to you or as well order the products online.

P.S: Let me know which one is your favorite Aussie product!

7 Tips Moving to Another Country

image

On this post I will share my 7 tips on Moving to another country. So no matter if it is going to be for a couple of months or for good, you little adventurist, have to prepare yourself. And simply I can separate this preparation into two parts: “Before you go” and “Once you are already there”.

Lets start with the very basic things you need to do before you leave:

  1. Open bills and other type of engagements
So first thing you don’t want to leave without taking care of bills that need to be paid. And I also prefer to shut down everything which can come back at me, like for instance I prefer to stop using mobile services from my home country because it is much easier if I take a new card in the new country.
  2. Personal stuff
You need to think what you want to take with you and what do you want to do with the rest. Basically my suggestion is to take as little as possible. You can sell some stuff, give it to friends or donate them.
  3. You have to do your homework
By homework I mean biiiiiig research. You have to look for more information for the place where you are going, people, culture, everything you have to deal with so you are not going to be super surprised when you arrive. Nowadays that is not so difficult there are so many websites, blogs, forums and etc where you can ask and find anything.
  4. Prepare for the financial part
You have to find out how much you are going to need at least for the first couple of weeks – including place to stay, expenses on food, transportation and etc. Calculate the money you will need till you got your first income. If you are moving and you already know you will start a job right away then it will be easier. If you are moving and you are planing to start to look for a job once you are already there, then try to prepare yourself if it isn’t so easy and it takes more time.
*It is never a bad idea to have an “emergency” amount which you can use in case something you haven’t planned happens.Once you are already there:
  5. New place – new friends
First and most important is trying to make new contacts. So reach out to people, don’t be shy try to meet new people all the time. You can do volunteer work or go to a dance class or a cooking class, where you can meet people with the same hobbies and interests like you.
  6. Try to stay on a budget
After you got your budget ( from 4th tip) try to not spend money for things that are not urgent at least till you get new source of income 🙂
  7. Learn the language
If you are moving to another country and you don’t speak the language, you need at least to try learning it. It will be very useful and it will make your life so much easier. Also the people will really appreciate your effort and it is fun.

P.S: If you have moved to another country, please share your tips!

Permanent Make Up – Yes or No?

permanent make up

Permanent Make Up?

So permanent make up is a technique which suppose to use pigmentation for improving your look. The procedure is basically the same like you are getting a tattoo. It is applied on your skin with needles. The difference between a tattoo and permanent make up is only the depth the needle is putting the pigment. Tattoos are made deeper in your skin than permanent make up. You can get your eyebrows, you lips or some kind of an eyeliner done. You can choose the shape, color and intensity.  There are a couple of different techniques now, so you can choose what suits you best.

During the procedure and right after it

Like I mentioned above it is the same way like you are getting a tattoo done. It is not very painful but it depends on your skin and sensitivity. Right after the procedure you can’t actually see the real results. You skin may be red and a little bit swollen. The colours may look a little bit darker too. In next couple of days/weeks you have to use some kind of cream to hydrate your skin. Also it is good to avoid direct sun light. You may need to go for retouches a couple of weeks later and that is normal.

Long-term

After a couple of weeks you will be able to see the final results. Depending on what color has been used, your skin type, cosmetics you use, and basically your lifestyle, your permanent make up can last for a couple of months or couple of years. Then whenever you feel like to you can get it redone.

My experience

I got my eyebrows done a couple of years ago. I wanted to get them done because mine was pretty much gone and I wanted a little bit different shape. I was thinking I will not have to use make up to shape them once I get them done permanently.

So I was reading different forums and asking girls who already got their eyebrows done. All of the people I know were very happy with their results and I decided to give it a try. So I got recommendation for one woman who had a salon where she was doing all type of permanent make up and some other beauty procedures.

I wanted my eyebrow to be brown because I am blonde. They turn out pretty dark, much darker than I expected. So color was one problem. The shape at least was fine. So because the color wasn’t suiting me I had to use make up all over them again. I expected the color to fade but it didn’t. After one year when I started reading more I found out something is wrong with my permanent make up. So I reached out to a couple of specialists at this area, they all told me that it for sure is donee wrong and instead of permanent make up I got a tatto! Which will never fade! So I was so shocked and panicked because it literally means I have ruined my eyebrows forever?! ;(  Instead of putting the pigment very lightly how it supposed to be with permanent make up, the lady over did it and made it too deep into my skin, like a real tatto.

Removing a tattoo?!

So once it is done, that is it… I did my research and there are not so many options on removing a tattoo.  I decided to try a laser removing. It is a little bit painful but it is ok, the feeling is same like you are getting it done. Again after you need to hydrate your skin and avoid sun light for a couple of days. Then you can see the results. Depending on what type of your tattoo is, is it colourful and of course again on your skin type, it can take a couple of visits to the laser studio. Colourful tattoos for sure will take more time to be removed. Same is if you have toо much pigment. For instance some parts can fade easily than the rest. Each time you have to wait a couple of weeks so your skin can recover and then you can go again. I have been only two times. And I am happy with my results so far.

Advices on Permanent Make Up

  1. Before going for it, definitely do your research.
  2. Don’t go to somebody based on just 1-2 recommendations. Be sure the specialist does it right and uses nice quality pigments.
  3. And once you decide ask everything you want to know, choose you shape and shades. Ask what is going to suite your face and so on.
  4. Last but not least do it if your 110% sure you want it.

P.S: Let me know about your experience
